Annie La Fleur

annielfOn 6th April former student Annie La Fleur visited the school to be interviewed for our series of Centenary Interviews.

Annie, born in Papua moved to Hurstville as a child. She went to St Mary's Star of the Sea Hurstville for both Primary and Junior Secondary schooling. She came to Kogarah for year 11 in 1986. By the time she arrived at the school she excelled in both Netball and Basketball. At Kogarah she played on the MCC Rep Basketball team, the only female in the competition, she also was the team captain. On leaving Kogarah she went on to represent Australia in the Sydney Olympics, winning a Bronze Medal. Until recently she played professional basketball in the USA.
