Chris Holland

chrishChris Holland came to Marist College Kogarah in 2006 from Marist College Penshurst. In 2007 he was elected College Vice-Captain.

Chris always had a passion for sport and music. While not actually studying Music for the HSC it remained his passion and outlet.

Since leaving school Chris was invited to join the Queensland based band Operator Please. He has toured with band performing in Europe and Japan. He is about the join them in the studio to take part in the recording of their second album.

On 29th April Chris returned to the school to take part in a centenary video interview. This can be seen on YouTube by following this link. Chris also took time to speak to a Year 8 Music class. The Year 8 boys really appreciated meeting Chris and we enthusiastic about what he had to say. In this year when we focus on the College's past it has been pleasing to see the way that our current students have taken part in the ex-student visits. Indeed looking at the past has inspired many of our current students to see the things that they can strive to achieve.

Chris is another example of the fine students that this College has produced. Like so many of the other ex-students who have visited this year Chris provides a fitting role for our current students. We thank Chris for his support of our centenary celebrations.
