Dan (Daniel) Ginnane

dgsOn 1st April MMM Sports Commentator and former student Dan Ginanne visited the College to be interviewed as part of our centenary celebrations.

Daniel Ginnane started at Kogarah Marist High in 1990 as a Year 7 student and completed his Higher School Certificate in 1995.

Following his time at Marist Kogarah, Daniel studied at the University of Wollongong.

Dan's first job saw him stacking shelves and being a check-out operator at Franklins. From an early age Dan wanted to be a sports commentator. In an early attempt to break into this field Dan sent a tape a letter to all radio stations. This resulted in an on air phone call from Ray Hadley that spurred Dan on to prove he could be a successful sport's commentator. To find out more about this phone call watch the extended video on the College's Centenary YouTube Channel.

dgtDan remembers his time at Marist Kogarah fondly, and speaks highly of his teachers. We thank him for taking part in our centenary celebrations.
