Mrs. Karen Ryce
Karen Ryce was a long term member of the teaching staff at the College. Initially employed as a primary school teacher in 1975. Karen remained in this role until the primary school closed in 1983.
Following the closure of the primary school Karen briefly taught 4th class at St. Charles Waverley for a year before returning to Marist Kogarah as a teahcer of Mathematics. Karen also spent a number of years in the role of Year 11 Coordinator in the days of Senior Co-education.
Since leaving MCK in 1996 Karen has served in a number of key role in serveral schools and is currently Head of Mission and Year 12 Coordinator at Emmaus Catholic College, Kemps Creek.
Amongst some of Karen's ex-students from her primary teaching days at the college are three of our current staff.
Karen retains a deep affection for Marist College Kogarah. On April 3rd she returned to take part in our series of Centenary Year interviews.
